Montreal Canadiens vs. Phoenix Coyotes
I wonder, with a loss tonight, could we see a couple players and Coach Jacques Martin spending November 11 “remembering” what it was like to be a member of the Canadiens? After recovering from that terrible losing streak to start the year, the Habs have lost the last 2, the same way as they were losing all those other ones. A hot goalie and brutal defensive gaffs.
No one wants the Coyotes in Phoenix. No one except Gary Bettman and the 10 season ticket holders who attend ¼ the games. And even those ten don’t really care.
I think it’s important the Habs do their part to put an end to these desert shenanigans. How do they have a part, you ask? By beating them so badly they are laughed out of Arizona. By showing them how strong a hockey club in Quebec can be, and lure them into the awaiting arena in Quebec City. Wouldn’t that be sweet?
I’ll be happy with a W. No matter how it comes.

Keys to the Game
Everyone is all up in arms about Guy Boucher’s Lightning playing the trap SO well against Philadelphia, that the refs actually stopped play a couple times because nothing was happening. A call from the league big wigs ordered the refs “not to interfere with coaching strategies”. It was genius! Made the Flyers look like the lumbering goons they are, and have always been, furthered my respect for Guy Boucher and most importantly, secured the win for the Lightning.
Why did I bring this up in my Habs blog? Because it is the same type of thing we see out of Martin game in and game out, except he is not getting the execution that was seen in Tampa last night. We see a team not happy with their roles. We see lazy, yet skilled individuals not fulfilling their potentials.
This games on you, Mr. Martin. Get these guys going, or get out!
