Gameday! Habs vs Wild

Montreal Bulldogs vs. Minnesota Wild

I bet he's just dyin' to come back for this game!

Is anyone else not at all interested in the last game of the season, against the Leafs, meaning anything to the Habs?  A win today against the Wild would go a long way to ensure it doesn’t.

With Boston losing soundly to the Leafs last night, the division title remains in reach.  Hopefully it’s enough to motivate this club.

A rare Saturday off brought with it some much needed rest for this Habs team, who had played 3 games in 4 nights, and looked brutally tired in New York on Friday.

It looks as if the Bulldog callups will once again have to carry a heavy workload as Tomas Plekanec and Jeff Halpern remained in Montreal and will be out of the lineup in tonight.

Who’s out?

  • Andrei Markov (Torn ACL-out indefinitely)
  • Josh Jorges (out indefinitely)
  • Max Pacioretty (Broken Neck)
  • Tomas Plekanec (Day to Day)
  • Jeff Halpern (Day to Day)
  • Brent Sopel
  • Hal Gill (day to day with flu)
  • Mathieu Darche
  • Jaroslav Spacek

  • Marek Zidlicky
  • Josh Harding
  • Guillaume Latendresse
  • Cam Barker
  • James Sheppard

Keys to the Game

Calling all veterans!  Attention!  Your non existence on the ice will no longer be tolerated!  Your good attitude and strong locker room presence is much appreciated, but you are desperately needed on the ice!  This means you Gomez.  This means you Cammalleri.  This means you Hamrlik.

Anytime you want to show up and earn that 6 million/year would be great.

My Prediction

Montreal 2 – Minnesota 1
